Environmental policy
We see the connections and consequences of our operations. We develop solutions and deliveries that meet today's needs, without destroying the opportunities for future generations to meet their needs. We work actively to minimize the environmental impact associated with our own operations.
Norlux contributes to a sustainable society through development and innovative lighting solutions. We are committed to ensuring that our advice and choice of solutions show consideration for society's vulnerability, and we actively use our expertise in the areas of environment, safety and risk both in our advice and in connection with the operation of lighting solutions delivered to customers.
Daily requirements for environmental considerations in their routines for carrying out tasks, on a par with requirements for maintaining quality, health and safety, among other things. This will ensure that we provide good advice and correct deliveries to our customers so that the environment is safeguarded in the most appropriate way possible.
Environmental requirements
We have also drawn up requirements for our own operations. We have, among other things, identified environmental measures in the areas of energy, transport, waste and purchasing. Some of these measures have already been implemented, while other measures are more extensive and require more investigation before they can be implemented. A plan for implementation has been drawn up.
The environmental policy is an integrated part of the company's quality system, which is being implemented. It is both a management responsibility and a responsibility for each employee to contribute to ensuring that the plan is complied with, maintained and continuously improved.
Environmental ambition
All employees undergo training, participation, competence building and good routines are motivated so that Norlux AS achieves its environmental ambition in the implementation of work tasks, solutions and customer deliveries.
Impact
Through the solutions we design and deliver, as well as the tasks the client must carry out to build/install and then operate and maintain, these are the largest and most lasting impacts our business has on the environment.
The impact of our operations is direct, with resource consumption, pollution, waste and transport resulting from our employees' activities in the workplace. The impact is small and limited, but it is both desirable and entirely possible to improve it through concrete measures.
The environment here means the external environment, for example reduction of energy consumption, emissions of greenhouse gases and substances hazardous to health and the environment, and a
reduction of resource consumption in general.
We are continuously working on plans for improvements regarding environmental impact and the environmental impacts associated with our own operations.

Norlux has been certified as an Environmental Lighthouse since 2020.
