MATS Stevneplassen

Norlux supplies functional lighting to public buildings. We were a lighting partner when the MATS work and activity center was to get new premises. The project included both a complete renovation and a new building. See the result here.

MATS work and activity center is an offer for people with various disabilities. The center facilitates work and activities that provide mastery, expression and good experiences. Activities include woodworking, canteen, knitting, wood and hobby groups.

MATS has now moved into new premises at Stevneplassen , a stone's throw from Skagerak Arena in Skien. Here, the activities are divided into two buildings. The old handicraft hall has been completely renovated, and a new building has been erected.

In this project, emphasis was placed on energy-efficient and functional lighting for users and employees. Various LED panels have mainly been used. In the toilets we find Leila downlights, the storage room is equipped with Universal IP44 , and on the walls outside, Yil outdoor lights in the eyelid variant have been installed, which reduces light pollution.

In addition, the center has several sensory rooms. Here, Norlux has supplied projectors that will provide visual stimuli.
