Norlux Commercial Project

Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park

Norlux has supplied lighting for a new 9-story building in the Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park at Radiumhospitalet. See the results of the project here.

Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park (OCCI) is a powerhouse for the development of innovative cancer treatment and brings together large parts of the Norwegian cancer community in one location closely connected to Radiumhospitalet. The buildings are 36,000 m² and have a vision to create one of Europe's leading environments for education, research and business within cancer.

Norlux won the contract for lighting supply when OCCI was to expand the building mass with a new slat, connected to the existing OCCI slats one to three. The new building has seven floors above ground level and two basement floors. The photos are from the first and second floors, where there is an open canteen and meeting center. There will be a training center for cancer patients on floor U1, and the other floors will consist of research and laboratory halls.

In common areas on the first floor, the lighting is mounted in track lighting. Here, the choice has fallen on a combination of spot lighting with Tania Mini DALI and the Force Plus linear luminaire with louvres for less glare.

Force Plus is also used in stairwells – here in a variant for surface mounting.

A wall of green plants connects the first and second floors. The plants are illuminated by track-mounted NSW K Pro Dual AIColor spotlights. The latest lighting technology is used here, where sensors and artificial intelligence adjust the color temperature so that the green plants are optimally illuminated at all times. The wall appears with strong and correct colors, so that it becomes an eye-catcher that really "pops". Zoom Spotlights are installed between the NSW spotlights, which provide light to the staircase itself.

On the second floor there are slatted ceilings. Here Force Plus recessed lighting is used together with discreet Cold 5 and Cold 10 rectangular downlights. This combination provides good lighting while reducing glare. In areas where the ceiling height spans two levels, there are also recessed track lights with Zoom Spotlights .

Above the counter in the canteen, a 48V power strip with discrete Flare CM5 has been installed.

In the toilets, the mirrors are flanked by Hali bathroom fixtures mounted vertically. Inside the cubicles, the choice has fallen on Poseidon 3 .
