In all pluggable installations, it is an indisputable requirement that plugs, connectors, cables, distributors, etc. are locked to each other so that accidental slipping cannot occur.
Every contact system is designed with a predefined contact surface. If contacts are only partially connected, or if they slide partially apart – for example because someone is pulling on a cable – the contact surface will be reduced.
Locking brackets therefore constitute one of the most important safety components in any pluggable installation concept.

On distributors, boxes, etc., the locking function is normally integrated.

For cable-to-cable connections, separate locking brackets are required.

Therefore, always remember to order plenty of locking brackets.
