Norlux Outdoor
Hiking trail Fagernes
With the characteristic Valdres landscape as a backdrop, a new hiking trail in Fagernes has received lighting from Norlux. The trail will become an attractive offering for both current hikers and future residents, and make it easier to use the local area throughout a larger part of the day and year.
Lighting in interaction with the landscape
For the project, Norlux has supplied Lapwing Mushroom from VIZULO. The characteristic, mushroom-shaped park luminaire combines modern LED technology with a stylish, nature-inspired design. With its discreet design during the day and functional lighting after dark, the luminaire fits well into the scenic surroundings.
Good lighting considering the surroundings
When lighting hiking trails and walkways, it is important to find the right balance between safe traffic, visual comfort and consideration for the surroundings. The light should make it easy to orientate yourself and perceive the surface, while preserving the experience of nature and the landscape.
In residential and natural areas, it is particularly important to limit glare and unwanted stray light. Proper light distribution, thoughtful luminaire placement and any lighting control help ensure that light is used where it is needed, without unnecessarily illuminating surrounding areas.
