Coop Mega Slependen

From old to new. Norlux has taken part in the upgrade of Coop's store at Slependen. Old fluorescent fixtures and halogen/metal halide spotlights have been replaced, and the store has been upgraded to Coop's supermarket concept, Coop Mega. The chain's most beautiful stores offer a wide selection of products, local food and fresh produce such as fish, meat and baked goods. From the entrance, the customer is led into the store by the linear Ledline luminaire and is met by the lush Fruit & Vegetables department. Here, the desire is for pleasant lighting that highlights fresh fruit and vegetables in an optimal and inviting way. The eye-catching black Ufo B luminaire, suspended from a track and placed in a grid, provides uniformity and flexibility in the basic lighting. Black Lobus spotlights illuminate the fruit and vegetables, while black Lata Wall II wallwashers illuminate motifs and text above the interior.

The lighting ensures that colors and freshness are displayed well. The color temperature is adapted to the products in the department, and a high CRI value ensures correct color reproduction.

The seafood department is a vibrant and exciting element where the sea is brought into the store. Here the customer experiences a wall with an ocean floor motif and recessed aquariums. We were commissioned to add more life to the wall. We solved this with two rail-mounted LED -projectors that create an effective illusion of movement in water. See video below.

Behind the fresh produce counters we focus on combining good working light and optimal lighting and highlighting of fresh produce. LED Panel provides very good working conditions, and mounted with a circular frame softens the expression. Above the counters hang the decorative copper-colored Crux pendants, while a combination of Ceto and Zeta Mini downlights illuminates fresh produce and motifs on the back wall. Lata Wall II wallwashers illuminate motifs and text above the interior.

The general lighting in the sales area (dry goods department) is built with Norlux Trunk LED Light .
These are placed centrally between the shelves and mounted 3.6 meters above the floor. With wide beam light distribution, even and good lighting is ensured from the top to the bottom shelf. Effect lighting, in the form of Lobus spotlights , is mounted in the same rail system and illuminates the displayed goods on the end shelves.

Beer/Specialty Beer has a large section in the store. The area is highlighted with recessed Zeta Mini downlights in the ceiling for general lighting, and black rails with Lobus spotlights illuminate the merchandise.

In the checkout area, Mega wanted a new lighting concept. Linear luminaires have been replaced with circular Galactic pendants with large luminous surfaces. The pendants are specially painted in Coop Mega's green profile color. Microprismatic screens with low UGR mean low glare while providing plenty of light, and they are installed in a system that ensures good and even lighting in the area and working light for the employees in the checkouts. The pendants are supplied with DALI Dim so that they can be dimmed down to the desired light level.
