GANT Store Bogstadveien

Centrally located on the Bogstadveien shopping street, we now find the new GANT Store. Norlux provided the lighting and sound system when the venerable Nordseth clothing store was converted into new stylish premises for GANT. Join us on a tour and see the result.

We find the GANT Store at Bogstadveien 37. The building, which has also housed skating hero Oscar Mathiesen, has a lot of history in its walls. For many years, shoppers on Majorstua passed by the Nordseth clothing store. Times change, and when GANT took over there was a need to rebuild and renew the premises. What we see now is a store that exudes style and quality. Here, tradition and modern solutions meet.

Entrance area
Outdoors, the choice fell on the discreet Cold 5 Outdoor downlight which, together with Rod Midi Spotlights in the display windows, creates a bright and inviting entrance area that leads customers into the store.

Men's department
GANT wanted a complete renovation of the premises. At the same time, limitations regarding the old building stock had to be taken into account. Thorough inspections and a review of GANT's store concept were carried out. Based on this, our project manager prepared a proposal for a lighting plan and fixtures.

With low ceilings, there was a need for fixtures that provide very good light without taking up too much space in the ceiling. The Aram Maxi Double recessed spotlight is ideal for this purpose. It can be used both as a downlight and as a spotlight angled to the side. At the same time, the ceiling surface looks neat and harmonious, so that the ceiling does not steal attention from the clothes.

GANT started as a shirt manufacturer back in 1949. Correct color reproduction is important for both traditional white shirts and more colorful garments. Norlux naturally delivers lighting with a high CRI value so that the colors on the clothes are perceived correctly.

Disk
With a recessed light source , the Cold 5 downlight provides good working light for employees without dazzling.

Recessed sound system
Norlux has delivered a full sound system to the store. The choice has fallen on In-Ceiling recessed speakers and amplifier from Sonos Architectural by Sonance. Quality sound creates a good atmosphere and contributes to a positive shopping experience.

Sample room
In the area in and around the fitting rooms, the light is somewhat subdued to create a calmer feeling for the customer. Outside the fitting rooms, discreet Cold 5 downlights are used. Inside the fitting rooms, Ceto Fixed downlights provide good light without glare. Light with correct color rendering also ensures that the customer does not get the wrong perception of the colors during fitting.

Women's department
On the second floor we find the women's department. The same fixtures are used here as on the ground floor. The Aram Maxi Single spotlight is used to illuminate GANT's big G by the stairs.
