Hobo Hotel

The design hotel Hobo at Karl Johan is Oslo's new IT spot. Norlux is proud to have supplied the lighting for the original boutique hotel. See the result of the project here.

At Hobo Oslo you will find 181 hotel rooms, five different room categories and four different food and beverage concepts.

Distinctiveness is central to the Hobo concept. Hobo is meant to be original, and none of the Hobo hotels that have opened in the Nordic capitals have been alike. Originality also extends to the lighting concept. In collaboration with the architect, Norlux has selected lamps that give the hotel a unique feel and exciting atmosphere.

Several dome/pendant lamps have been specially made for Hobo Hotel. In the corridors on each floor, a number of different wall lamps have been selected, so that no two lamps in a corridor are the same. In addition, lamps from our regular range have been used for basic lighting.

The library is an exciting space. Here we find circular track lights with Tania Mini and Zoom Mini Spotlights in the ceiling, Pix wall lamps and Eclisse table lamps from Artemide on the shelves.

In the all-red renovated stairwell, Kappa Round downlights and wall lamps provide a wonderful play of light and shadow that enhances the atmosphere and makes moving between floors an experience.

In the bar, track-mounted Zoom Spotlights are used as basic lighting.
