Olympia Sports

We congratulate Olympia Sport on their new beautiful premises. Norlux had the pleasure of supplying the lighting when one of Norway's largest independent sports stores was moving. See the pictures and join us for a tour of the premises.

Olympia Sport is a chain-independent sports store with specialist expertise in skiing, cycling, running and paddling. Since its inception in 2005, the store outside Tønsberg has been an institution both in the local community and for visiting exercisers and athletes. However, the need for larger premises and storage space has grown, partly as a result of increasing sales via Olympia Sport's online store . Norlux is proud to have been part of the journey when Olympia Sport realised its dream of a new, magnificent 2000m ² store a stone's throw away from the old premises.

We'll take you on a little tour. Arke bollards guide you through the outdoor area and provide light at the benches. Tube Wall provides discreet light to the facade, while the entrance area is lit by Auriga Downlight . Inside the doors, we are greeted by a large, open retail landscape over three levels. Here, daylight is taken advantage of from large window surfaces, which, where the ceiling height is greatest, are combined with the bright Ray Maxi spotlights. On the lower floor, bicycles and skis can be delivered for service.

On the second floor we find the outdoor department. Here you can find clothes from Amundsen, and the old polar hero is also prominent in the store interior. The fireplace corner has rustic furniture, and a reindeer head adorns the wall. Zoom Spotlight brings out the details.

Olympia Sport has four Olympic gold medals on its side. Set into the glass counter, customers can study a selection of medals and Knut Holmann's wooden winning kayak. Zoom Spotlight is used for the lighting.

The store has close ties with athletes and club communities. Therese Johaug's World Cup trophy and World Championship medal are displayed and illuminated by Lobus Spotlight . Further in the cross-country department, T-Line linear luminaires and Lobus Spotlight are combined. T-Line provides even, good light and also functions as a guide light. Lobus Spotlights highlight the products, and we experience a dynamic play between light and shadow.

Olympia Sport is one of the world's largest single retailers of HOKA. On the third floor we find a treadmill for running analysis and a wide selection of shoes. The products are highlighted by T-Line and Lobus In the fitting rooms, Lobus Spotlight provides good lighting and correct color reproduction of the clothes.

In the bicycle workshop, the T-Line provides good working light for the shop's Shimano-certified mechanics. Grinding structures and preparing skis places extra demands on protection against dust and moisture. The IP65 rating makes Stream C industrial luminaire an optimal choice in the ski workshop.

Recessed LED panels are used in the offices.
