Artemides Tolomeo is a simple and timeless desk lamp that took the world by storm when the first variant was designed by Michel De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 1987. Tolomeo is available in several different designs and is today said to be the most popular desk lamp in the world. Tolomeo Micro was designed in 2010. The lampshade is made of aluminum and steel, and is available in several different colors. Tolomeo Micro is the smaller variant of both the classic and Mini.
What made Tolomeo so popular is the flexibility, as the entire lamp body can be easily adjusted with one hand to direct the light exactly where you want it. “No table lamp should make you use two hands to set it correctly,” said Michele De Lucchi when designing the desk lamp.
