Time to switch to LED fixtures
Fluorescent tubes are being phased out
Time for upgrading the lighting system
In August 2023, a ban came into effect that involves the phasing out of T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes from the European market. Until now, the ban on mercury had an exception for light sources, but this is no longer the case. The EU directive (RoHS) means that the production of T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes is no longer permitted. Additionally, the phase-out of compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) began as early as February 2023.
