Attrå – gourmet restaurant

Good lighting design creates the right atmosphere. Norlux has supplied the lighting solution for Attrå – a popular gourmet restaurant in the heart of Larvik. See the result of the project here.

The Attrå restaurant concept consists of three restaurants over three floors: the pizza and pasta restaurant Pieno on street level, the popular Attrå on the second floor and the exclusive Ást at the top. The founders have a background from Michelin restaurants and Norway’s national team for chefs’ and aim to offer gourmet food to people in the district, as well as attract visitors from afar who want an elevated dining experience.

In collaboration with Metropolis Arkitektur & Design and Eltera, Norlux has developed solutions for the three restaurants that, through lighting, create atmosphere and enhance the atmosphere in the premises.

In the entrance area of ​​Attrå, you are greeted by large Knit-Wit pendants from Made by Hand. The group of pendants is a nice eye-catcher, and the large light sources provide a soft and pleasant light. Here you will also find recessed Tania Mini Slim Basic spotlights that highlight interior elements.

The open kitchen feels clean and sterile like a laboratory. We achieve this with a contrast in color temperature. Here, we have chosen LED panels in 4000K, which provide a more blue and cool light.

For spot lighting, we have chosen a mix of Zoom Mini and Tania Mini spotlights. Zoom Mini has adjustable light distribution. This allows it to zoom in on just the table and make it “Instagram-friendly”. Zoom also highlights details such as recessed stone in the bar counter.

The basic lighting is complemented by Cold 10 downlights.

LED strips have been used in the wine room in Ást. We have also chosen LED strips in the entrance area in Pieno and as effect lighting in the rest rooms.
